In addition to being a portrait photographer I also do fine art work - personally and professionally. I am formally trained, receiving a BA in Education from Alaska Pacific University in 2000 and an MFA in Photography from the Academy of Art in 2017. I have exhibited work in Alaska and California, am an eleven-time recipient of The Portrait Masters awards, a Review Santa Fe Alumni, and have been recognized for fine art portraiture in Dear Photographer Magazine. I am a mentor and photography instructor and have taught photography to students in elementary school through post graduate level.

Much of my fine art portrait work is based on humanitarian themes (People Stories). I lived and served in Cambodia as a missionary, working for various NGOs from 2011-2020, and continue to make regular trips. Many of the people I met in Cambodia, as well as those I met along the way, continue to inspire my work.
